You can delete your Garrison account yourself, at any time, from the Garrison app on iPhone, iPad and Android or from the website. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Deleting your account is separate from cancelling a subscription and from deleting a company you do not own. This page explains how to delete your account, what is deleted, and what is kept and why.
How to delete your account
In the Garrison app or on the website:
- Sign in. Without the app, use any browser at app.garrison.app.
- Open Settings, then Account, then Delete account.
- Review the companies that will be deleted with your account, type your email address, enter the code we email you, and press and hold to confirm.
Your account is deleted right away and you are signed out on every device. If you cannot sign in, email hello@garrison.app from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We confirm that the request is yours before deleting anything.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in: email address, password, connected Google or Apple sign-in, sessions and two-step verification.
- Your profile details: photo, birthday, personal email and phone, home address and emergency contact.
- Your access to every company you belong to, and your roles in them.
- Your devices and notification registrations, your sign-in phone number, and calendar connections.
- Your Garry conversations, notifications, search history, pins, likes, read receipts and feedback votes.
- Every company you own, as described below.
What is kept, and why
Companies you work for keep the work records they hold about you, such as hours worked, pay, safety and incident reports, and the projects you were assigned to. These records belong to the company, and employment and workplace-safety laws require employers to keep them. They stay under your name, marked as archived, with your contact and personal details removed; the role, schedule and hire details the company recorded stay with it. Notes, photos and documents you added to a company’s work stay with that company. Ask the company if you want to know what it keeps.
Invoices and payment records are kept as tax and accounting law requires. Security logs are kept for a limited time to protect accounts and investigate abuse. Deleted data leaves our database backups within 90 days.
Companies you own
Deleting your account also deletes every company you own, with everything in it (employees, projects, clients, documents and records), for everyone who works there. The deletion screen lists these companies before you confirm.
A deleted company’s Garrison plan is cancelled immediately and is not renewed. As our Refund Policy explains, cancelling does not by itself issue a refund. If other people should keep using a company you own, contact us at hello@garrison.app before deleting your account.
If you own a franchise, delete it from its settings page first. A company marked as protected can only be deleted with our help.
Subscriptions bought through the App Store or Google Play
Apple and Google manage subscriptions bought in their stores, and deleting your Garrison account does not cancel them. Cancel them in your Apple ID’s Subscriptions settings or in Google Play’s Payments & subscriptions.
